Nandamuri Balakrshna of "Legend" is all set to launch today the world extensively, which was directed by Boyapati Srinu, who earlier gave a block buster hit Balayya Babu with his film "Simha". The film got censored yesterday after having a bit of calm in the censorship board. The members of the censor board awarded 'A' certificate for this action entertainer that has some political elements.
Devi Sri Prasad has scored the Music of this film for the first time in Balayya Babu and got a good response. Actor Jagapath Babu is playing a negative role in this film for the first time in his filmy career. Actress Radhika Apte and Sonal Chauhan is also partnering Nandamuri Balakrishna for the female lead in this movie. 14 Reels Entertainment banner Chitram banners and Varahi barge jointly produced this film.
Story :
Krishna ( Balakrishna ) is a man who fights against injustice anywhere in the world. He is an NRI who is deeply Attached to his Family members . Krishna is deeply in love with Sneha ( Sonal Chauhan ) and seeks the blessings of her grandmother for the wedding.
Her grandmother is a very strict woman who does not want to come to India. But Krishna decides to surprise her for her to visit with Sneha . With his penchant for saving people in trouble , Krishna soon ends as the enemy of the powerful Jeethendra ( Jagapathi Babu ) .
The movie goes into flashback mode when Jeethendra see Krishna. There is an old rivalry involving the family of Krishna and Jai Dev (elder Balakrishna ) comes into play .
The rest of the story has to do with the fight against Jeethendra Jai Dev .
Pluses :
Balakrishna is simply excellent in the role of Jai Des . He has a real look and gestures are great to watch . He has also danced with energy in the film.
Jagapathi Babu as Jeethendra is excellent and has great future as the main villain. His natural talent you a force to recon with in the negative role he does.
Sonal Chauhan oozes glamor and she looks beautiful . Radhika Apte looks cozy and has a good role in the film .
The second half of the film is a big plus , with emotion -laden scenes and action episodes powerful . The fight sequence near the railway track is excellent.
Episode range and torque have good relations impact .
Negatives :
Element Brahmanandam 's comedy is silly and irritating as he Manikyam .
The first half is a bit slow , with too many songs . The theme song ' Lasku Tapa' is not effective.
Climax could have been more convincing.
Technical Aspects :
The cinematography is very normal. Editing is very bad , especially in the first half, where there are so many jump cuts . Devi Sri Prasad is a big plus for the movie .
Boyapati Sreenu has played a safe game as manager . He has given powerful punch dialogues and rich look of Balakrishna but used a very old story .
Final Verdict :
'Legend' has some explosive moments in the second half and powerful punch dialogues Balakrishna . The film is a solid commercial artist who can do big business at the box office
